How to preserve our planet’s resources by using inno­va­tive and sustai­nable water treat­ment

At BWT we are proud to be able to contri­bute with our sustain­able tech­nolo­gies and prod­ucts to preserve our planet’s most precious resource: water. Our slogan “For You and Planet Blue” perfectly expresses our mission and our recently defined “BWT Innovations4Future” Stra­tegy – with Fuel Cell Membrane Tech­nolo­gies and the BWT Aqua Pearls For You & Planet Blue Foun­da­tion – which under­lines our focus on sustain­able prod­ucts and solu­tions to change our plastic planet into planet blue again.

BWT has been elected along with 49 other inter­na­tional compa­nies to partic­i­pate in the “50 Sustain­ability & Climate Leaders” initia­tive, hosted by Bloom­berg, the world­wide leading busi­ness and finance network, and the United Nations. This campaign uses inspi­ring documentary-​​​style films to iden­tify and cele­brate the leading orga­ni­za­tions and pioneers in their respec­tive indus­tries around the globe, who are recog­nizing the sustain­able chal­lenges we face on our planet.

Use local Water – avoid single-​use plastic bottles

BWT's declared goal is to provide water of perfect drin­king water quality every­where in the world. With inno­v­a­tive, patented BWT tech­nolo­gies, it is possible to filter local water and at the same time enrich it with valu­able mine­rals and trace elements such as magne­sium, zinc, and sili­cate. Thanks to BWT, great-​tasting, miner­al­ized water of the best quality comes directly from the tap, the water dispenser, or the table water filter. This saves the time-​consuming trans­port, storage, and disposal of water bottles and thus helps redu­cing trans­port, CO2 emis­sions and plastic waste.

The sustai­nable energy converter of the 21st century

For more than 20 years, BWT is inves­ting into the deve­lop­ment and produc­tion of mate­rials and compo­nents for the produc­tion of clean water, for the produc­tion of hydrogen by elec­tro­lysis of water, for the conver­sion of energy in fuel cells and finally for the conver­sion of carbon­dioxide and hydrogen into green fuels. BWT is a global supplier of membranes for the entire cycle from water to hydrogen and from hydrogen to elec­tri­city and to water again.

We share every sip

BWT has always been committed to helping people in need and suppor­ting projects that make a demon­strable contri­bu­tion to the sustain­able devel­op­ment of regions affected by poverty. As part of the b.water­MIS­SION project, a total of 10,000 wells are being built in The Gambia, Tanzania and surroun­ding areas with the help of BWT to give local people access to clean drin­king water.
